What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small piece of information stored by your browser. Cookies can support essential site functions, remember preferences, help protect a site from abuse, measure usage and, in some cases, support advertising.

Who may set cookies here?

FilamentFix is hosted by WordPress.com. WordPress.com and Automattic may set cookies needed to operate, secure and measure the site. Some cookies may also be connected to WordPress.com accounts, comments, statistics or platform advertising.

Current advertising status

FilamentFix does not currently operate its own Google AdSense setup or affiliate tracking program. WordPress.com may display its own platform advertising on free-hosted sites. If FilamentFix introduces additional advertising or tracking technologies later, this page will be updated.

Cookie consent banner

The site uses WordPress.com’s Cookie Consent block globally in the footer. For a first-time visitor, the banner appears at the bottom of the site. If a visitor has already accepted it, WordPress stores that choice for the configured consent period or until browser cookies are cleared.

Free-plan limitation

The native WordPress.com Cookie Consent block informs visitors and lets them accept cookies, but it does not provide a separate “Reject all” button. Before FilamentFix introduces its own AdSense or additional advertising technology, consent requirements will be reviewed again.

Managing cookies yourself

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect site functions or WordPress.com features.
